Welly Warehouse

Wellywarehouse wanted a new funky, fresh powershop for selling their range of welly boots.

The key requirements for the project were:-

• Funky, fresh, user-friendly design
• Fully search engine friendly
• Worldpay integration
• Integration into the Sage Accounting system
• Extensive reporting and admin facilities
• Newsletter/mailshot functionality
• Extensive server security

To accomplish all of these, we deployed our own custom OsCommerce 2.2 build with many additional modules.

Funky, fresh, user-friendly design
Our design team set about creating a friendly, funky design for the site based around the chosen colour scheme from Welly Warehouse. The end result is a great looking easy to use site returning an excellent 7% conversion rate!

Fully search engine friendly
he build incorporated many search engine friendly steps, from dynamic titles, headers and meta information, to sensible structuring and presentation of the page information, an industry related blog, automated Google and Froogle submission and more.

The site site continues to go from strength to strength in both it's sales and rankings.

Worldpay integration
The chosen payment module for the project was Worldpay, seamless integration and styling into the shop was easily achieved.

Integration into the Sage Accounting system
To allow one-click integration of the online shop into Welly Warehouse's accounting system a custom export routing was written to utilise the Sage Connect facility. This now enables the client to export all customers, orders and invoices seamlessly into Sage.

Extensive reporting and admin facilities
Over and above the usual OsCommerce reporting facilities there are many customisations incorporated into the build - Ajax attribute settings, SEO reporting, further sales reporting, discount coupons, multi-order updating - all ensuring the day-to-day running of the shop requires is as seamless as possible.

Newsletter/mailshot functionality
In order to allow the sending (and tracking!) of newsletter and marketing campaigns the PHPList program was utilised and integrated into OsCommerce. This allows Welly Warehouse to send out news of discounts and promotions to all subscribed users, all managed through a user friendly interface.

Extensive server security
As with any shop, security is key. The shop is deployed on one of our Rackspace hosted Atomic Secured Linux servers ensuring the highest reliability and security.
